About SREMAN
SREMAN is a research workflow tool designed to support systematic reviews, evidence synthesis and meta-analysis. Our goal is to make research tools more accessible to researchers regardless of their financial or institutional resources.
Our mission
We believe access to essential research tools should not depend entirely on a researcher's ability to pay for commercial software. SREMAN aims to reduce these barriers by providing free access to its research workflow tools.
What SREMAN supports
- Review questions and eligibility criteria.
- Supported bibliographic search workflows.
- Title-and-abstract screening.
- Review data export, import and backup.
Available functions may evolve as the platform develops. Researchers should independently verify their search results, screening decisions, extracted data and analyses.
Free access
SREMAN is currently provided free of charge. The online service is not an open-source software distribution, and access to the website does not grant permission to copy or redistribute its source code.
Academic citation and attribution
SREMAN is provided free of charge to support systematic reviews, evidence synthesis and meta-analysis. We encourage researchers to acknowledge and cite SREMAN in publications, protocols, theses, reports and other scholarly outputs whenever the platform has materially contributed to their research workflow.
Citing SREMAN helps acknowledge the development and maintenance of research software, improves its discoverability and supports the continued development of accessible research tools.
Recommended citation
Vishnu Shivam. SREMAN: Systematic Reviews, Evidence Synthesis and Meta-Analysis Manager [Internet]. Available from: https://www.sreman.com/
Please include the date accessed and the software version, where appropriate, according to the citation style required by your journal or institution.
Example in-text acknowledgement
“We used SREMAN (Vishnu Shivam; https://www.sreman.com/) to support our systematic review workflow.”
Researchers should describe the platform's actual role in their study and should not imply that SREMAN performed analyses, screening or other tasks that were not performed using the tool.
Citation is encouraged as a matter of academic attribution, rather than imposed as a condition of free access, unless a separate applicable agreement provides otherwise.
If a formal SREMAN software paper or version-specific citation becomes available, researchers are encouraged to cite that publication alongside the software itself where relevant.
